We have a Senior Project Manager – Controls opportunity in Cedar Rapids, IA. This person is responsible for independently managing small to large‑scale projects for clients, ensuring successful delivery from initiation through completion. The role focuses on controlling project costs, schedules, and resources while fostering strong relationships with clients and vendors. The Project Manager guides clients in decision‑making, ensures solutions align with business needs, and delivers projects that meet or exceed expectations.
This position requires proactive leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Manage small to large‑scale projects for clients independently with minimal oversight.
- May be responsible for managing and supporting multiple projects at once.
- Develop, manage, and control project costs.
- Develop, manage, and control project schedules.
- Manage and direct resources appropriately for the project.
- Manage the end‑to‑end project lifecycle for assigned projects.
- Guide the client in project decisions, ensuring the best solution for their business.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team to deliver on goals and objectives of the project.
- Manage vendor and client relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met.
- Maintain regular contact with client and report progress, issues, and accomplishments to both the client and Wunderlich‑Malec.
- Be accountable for project and/or program success.
- Represent the client as an OPM as needed.
- Understand and abide by the Employee Handbook as written.
- Consistently maintain a positive and encouraging attitude.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Works well in high‑stress environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably Engineering, Construction Management or related field).
- Servant leader, who loves to see others succeed and is energized by being part of a team.
- Exemplary communication skills.
- 6‑8 years of experience as a Project Manager.
- Experience in Data Center construction and build‑out desired.
- PMP certification beneficial.
This position may have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Conditions- Office Work:

- Ability to lift to 25 lbs.

- Travel to customer sites.
