Sr. Manager Product Introduction; hybrid

Job Summary

New Product Introduction (NPI) Operations Senior Leader at Collins Aerospace responsible for strategic NPI initiatives, leading a cross‑functional team, and driving product design and operations integration.

Hybrid – preferred location Richardson, TX; candidates in Cedar Rapids, IA or Rockford, IL may also be considered. U.S. citizenship required;
DoD Secret clearance required after day one.

• Supports strategic and operational planning for the NPI organization.
• Leads a team of individual contributors from product inception through Gate D or project completion.
• Contributes to development, modification, and review of NPI systems, processes, tools, and reporting methods.
• Sets clear performance expectations, provides coaching and feedback, and supports career development of team members.
• Promotes a culture of trust, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Ensures adequate resourcing, manages staffing plans, and succession planning.
• Collaborates with Program Office, Engineering, and Operations Manufacturing to drive KPIs and represent operations in developmental decision making.
• Directs and assists OPM support to capture lessons learned for major programs and facilitates retention of those lessons.
• Develops NPI vision and strategy for AS9145 within operations manufacturing and supply chain.
• Supports business travel up to 25%.

• University degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years, or 14 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Direct people‑leadership experience, including conflict resolution, change management, fiduciary and budget responsibility, cross‑level communication, employee coaching, and escalation management to senior leadership.

• NPI experience.
• Deep understanding of product development processes, program lifecycle management, and manufacturing readiness.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of the RTX RLPM framework or similar phase‑gate product lifecycle systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
