The Program Work Environment (PWE), within Engineering Operations and Business Services (EOBS), has an opening for a Sr. Manager, Program Work Environment (PWE) Operations Excellence Lead. The PWE’s mission is to provide strategic oversight and centralized management of secure program work environments to meet existing and growing demand across the business. The PWE is comprised of a Program Management Team (PMT) coordinated across multiple functions including Digital Technology, Cyber Security, Physical Security, Facilities, and Lab Management.
The scope of PWE projects includes the strategic roadmap, execution, and sustainment of the physical and digital footprint for secure lab environments. This role will be the chief product owner for the PWE Operations Team and may take on additional duties from the PWE PMT over time. This will be an individual contributor role within a matrixed reporting structure.
As the PWE Operations Excellence Lead, you will be accountable for leading multiple cross-functional teams supporting several challenging objectives concurrently.
A strong, innate ability to leverage innovative problem-solving techniques to find creative solutions is pivotal. This role can expect to provide direction and guidance across the PWE as well as business partner stakeholders on scope lacking in requirements or direction. Partnerships across the PWE will be crucial, including with the Program Chief, Project Execution Lead, Operations Team, ROM/Bid Team, and PWE PMT.
This position is onsite and can be located in Richardson, TX or Cedar Rapids, IA.
What You Will Do- Product Owner of PWE Operations, providing strategic direction and day-to-day oversight of PWE processes, tools, and training
- Assess PWE processes, tools, and training for improvement and lead development of resolutions
- Day-to-day organization, direction, and oversight of matrixed team by prioritizing, deconflicting requests, and resource assignment
- Manage PWE-wide communication methods such as SharePoint pages, newsletters, and town halls
- Drive consistency of application of operational processes across the functional pillars through stakeholder alignment, training, and communications
- Align key stakeholders on operational prioritization decisions
- Represent PWE in strategic discussions
- Ensure data integrity of databases, data repositories, and tools such as Jira and associated tracking methods, metrics, and dashboards
- Champion data-driven decision making and drive PWE adoption across the business
- May take on additional responsibilities as needed
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Ability to obtain Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Experience working in closed areas or secure lab environments with understanding of government security-based regulations, protocols, and build standards
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage groups of people to accomplish complex objectives in a multi-disciplined, matrixed environment
- Substantial knowledge of Collins Aerospace secure programs and projects
- Active Top Secret or TS/SCI Security Clearance is preferred
- Experience across the functional disciplines of Security, Cybersecurity, Digital Technology, Facilities, and Lab Management or related fields
- Experience managing projects using Agile methods
- Experience developing and maintaining business process documentation
- Experience with creating, delivering and maintaining training solutions
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
