Senior Systems Engineer – MANTA SEIT (Onsite)
Position Overview:
The Mission Systems Multi‑Domain Assured Navigation and Timing Applications (MANTA) Systems/Hardware department is looking for a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join the Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) team. The role focuses on System Engineering, integration, and testing for real‑time embedded navigation and timing solutions across military ground, airborne, and maritime platforms.
- Create and maintain system requirements and design documentation.
- Support verification and traceability of system requirements.
- Develop verification test procedures and execute them in a secure lab.
- Conduct peer reviews of test procedures and design documentation.
- Collaborate across teams on program goals.
- Coordinate communication and status with stakeholders.
- Own the development of design approach in partnership with subject‑matter experts.
- Share lessons learned to improve team and departmental practices.
- Contribute to bid/proposal activities during new business pursuits.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3years of experience.
- Must be capable of obtaining or currently hold a United States Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance (Secret or higher).
- Eligibility to pass a government security investigation/re‑in statement per the DoD requirements.
- Python scripting experience.
- Experience with automated test and test fixture development.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (Gherkin, Behave, Robot, etc.).
- Networking/protocols/security: IP stack, NTP/PTP, SSL/TLS.
- Prior military experience.
- Experience developing system concept of operations (CONOPS) and use cases.
- Experience with system integration and test.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self‑start mentality and strong problem‑identification skills.
