Douglas Operator – 2nd Shift

Position:
Hourly manufacturing position at Kraft Heinz – Cedar Rapids.

Shift: Monday-Thursday 1:30pm-12:00am.

Location:

4601 C Street SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404.

• 3‑Shift operation.
• Non‑union facility with approximately 200 hourly staff.
• 100% food service: 4 soup lines, 1 tub line, 18 kettles, 5 filling lines, 4 packaging lines.
• Products include frozen soups and macaroni & cheese.

Seeking a Douglas Operator to operate and maintain Tub Pack Department equipment (Douglas, Pearson, Wexxar, 3M Taper, Power Jack, HMI, SKU Reader, Evolution Printer, etc.) and support continuous production flow. Identify quality concerns with packaging, print, label, or case, and back up the Tub tables.

• Operate and control Douglas, Wexxar, Pearson machines, Spiral Freezer, 3M Taper.
• Palletize product.
• Complete required documentation and IQS entries.
• Verify product quality: dated codes, weight distribution, seal integrity, label verification, case quality.
• Follow safety practices (PPE, JSA).
• Relieve Tub Table Operators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Detail‑oriented with good organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of equipment care and maintenance.
• Ability to work under stress with extreme temperatures.
• Effective communication skills.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to food safety policies and safety procedures.
• Ability to implement Q‑RMP standards.
