Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Location:Cedar Rapids, IA
Shift: 12 hour
Pay: $28+ DOE
Advance Services is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support a leading manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and plant utility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Maintain plant utilities including water, air, steam, and cooling systems
- Inspect and repair pumps, motors, valves, compressors, and production equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and complete work orders in the maintenance system
- Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and equipment drawings
- Support root cause analysis and equipment improvements
- Industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with motors, gearboxes, pumps, and plant utilities
- Comfortable using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
- Technical degree or training in Industrial Maintenance or Mechanical/Electrical Technology
- Experience with SAP or CMMS maintenance systems
