Job Summary
The role is based in Cedar Rapids, IA (on‑site). Food Ingredients is a unit focused on innovating improved nutritional profiles, better taste and texture, and greater cost efficiency for global food and beverage manufacturers.
Where You’ll Make a Difference- Follow daily production schedules to meet targets, minimizing downtime and maximizing yield.
- Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment and processes in the production of food ingredients.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complete required quality documentation.
- Work within the QAD ERP system to manage production orders and track inventory.
- Ensure equipment cleanliness and uphold all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime and support maximum efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members and maintain accurate production records.
- Perform routine in‑process and finished goods checks.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the unit operation.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma (GED).
- Basic mathematical proficiency.
- Recommended 2 years of experience in a mechanical or industrial work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with general hand tools.
- General computer knowledge, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Physically fit to wear PPE and perform physical labor, including lifting up to 55 lbs.
- Demonstrated reliability and a self‑motivated, solution‑oriented mindset.
- Positive team player committed to producing safe, high‑quality food ingredients.
- Prior experience working in a food production or manufacturing environment.
- Forklift operation experience and basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably QAD.
