Douds Stone, LLC is a southeast Iowa business. We have been in business for 90 years providing quality rock, sand, gravel and limestone to our customers. Currently Douds Stone, LLC has 12 open‑pit quarries and 3 sand operations. Our locations stretch from Eddyville, IA to Wever, IA and as far north as Keswick, IA.

The Crushing Crew Plant Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining crushing plant equipment to produce aggregate materials that meet company specifications and production goals. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient plant operations, equipment reliability, and overall site safety.

• Operate and monitor crushing plant equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, and feeders
• Perform daily start‑up, shutdown, and operational checks of plant systems
• Adjust plant settings to maintain proper material gradation and maximize production efficiency
• Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, damage, or maintenance needs
• Perform basic maintenance and assist with repairs, including belt changes, screen changes, and lubrication
• Troubleshoot operational issues and communicate effectively with supervisors and maintenance personnel
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
• Document production, maintenance, and safety reports as required
• Coordinate with loader operators, truck drivers, and other crew members to ensure smooth workflow

Quarry experience would be a plus.
