What you bring to the table

You bring, or are ready to develop, the skills to ensure products are mixed, packaged, and shipped accurately and on schedule, including receiving raw materials, weighing and blending ingredients, and preparing finished goods for shipment. Previous production or bakery experience is preferred. By maintaining quality, safety, and timely fulfillment, you will directly support production and the supply chain, driving customer satisfaction, operational continuity, and the success of our Baking and Bread making division and Lesaffre overall.

This role follows a rotating day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

What you’ll do as a Blending Operator
  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to Lesaffre's safety-first culture by strictly following all safety protocols and participating in required safety programs
  • Understand and effectively utilize all employee safety programs to ensure proper procedures are being followed
  • Staging of required raw materials and packaging materials
  • Requires ability to follow a recipe to create a blend to be mixed
  • Requires ability to follow procedures to package product in various packaging types
  • Completion of in process production checks
  • Document, inspect and unload materials per written procedures
  • Prepare products for shipment, load trucks and complete required paperwork
  • Requires ability to operate fork truck and floor scrubber
  • Maintain warehouse and production areas in a clean and orderly condition
  • Perform routine and non-routing cleaning inside and outside of the facility
  • Ability to accurately report data and maintain records
  • Mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • Food product packaging and/or blending experience preferred
  • Shipping and/or receiving experience preferred
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and follow through to completion
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work
  • Solid understanding of basic math and science and the ability to apply this knowledge
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be detail oriented and safety minded
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee will be required to bend, twist and use stairs/ladders. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
