This Manufacturing Electrical Engineer will join the Collins Aerospace Cedar Rapids facility’s Manufacturing support team, working second shift (2 PM–10 PM, flexible) on Displays and Flight Systems IPT. Responsibilities include evaluating and solving day‑to‑day manufacturing issues related to design, process and supplier issues, with a focus on LEAN principles.
What You Will Do- Perform root cause analysis and take corrective action to resolve test failures.
- Monitor equipment uptime and troubleshoot to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
- Provide in‑depth technical assistance and training support to floor test technicians.
- Apply standard engineering and manufacturing principles and processes.
- Develop solutions to complex technical problems with minimal guidance from project managers.
- Implement and maintain test methods and processes for sub‑assembly, module, and top‑level product in new or difficult product lines.
- Develop complete knowledge of test systems and hardware.
- Provide technical interpretation of drawings and specifications for complex products.
- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
- On‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects that provide manufacturing, trouble‑shooting, or test experience.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience with Lean Sigma principles.
- Proficiency with SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
