Job Overview
Senior Principal Systems Engineer – Computing Solutions Department – development of next‑generation product line solutions in safety‑critical avionic electronic systems.
Location:
Cedar Rapids, IA. Travel: 5‑10% as needed.
US‑citizen or lawful permanent resident required; no immigration sponsorship provided.

Your responsibilities will span the creation of comprehensive plans, requirements, architecture definition, meticulous verification and validation, and the development of detailed design documentation for our next‑generation solutions.
- Capture requirements, design, test cases, and test procedures in accordance with program development plans and the objectives of ARP‑4754B.
- Integrate, validate, and verify system functionality in the lab.
- Provide technical collaboration among systems, hardware, AEH and software design functions.
- Assist in resolving technical problems that cross hardware and software functional domain areas.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and minimum 7 years of experience.
- Experience with safety‑critical system, hardware, or software development (e.g., DO‑178C, DO‑254, or ARP‑4754A/B). Demonstrated experience authoring and validating requirements.
- Experience with the avionics equipment certification process.
- Experience working with stakeholders to generate concepts of operation and use cases.
- Experience authoring in‑depth technical documents.
- Experience working with and testing embedded hardware and software.
- Experience developing automated tests utilizing scripting.
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external customers.
- Adaptable to change, self‑motivated and collaborative, able to meet program schedules.

USD 132,400 – 251,600 per year, based on experience, education and qualifications.
