Responsibilities
- Complete assignments involving Design and Requirement Developments activities
- On-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness, and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases)
- Support requirements development, requirements-based testing execution, test script development, and execution of scenario-based, robustness, and unintended function/behavior testing in a lab environment (flexibility is necessary to maximize test assets utilization)
- Be responsible for the troubleshooting and reporting of issues resulting from development cycles; provide internal status updates and report directly to OEMs as necessary
- Develop and execute test scripts
- Independently operate rig facilities during testing phases and troubleshooting activities
- Execute flight test scenarios, leveraging a solid understanding of aircraft operational fundamentals, to validate system functionality and performance
- Produce PDR/CDR packages on aircraft features and present them to OEMs
- Produce system certification level documentation
- Integrate and own SW/HW work packages and avionics features, coordinating across multiple subsystem functional areas
- Estimate and bid engineering efforts
- Provide regular updates on program status to key stakeholders
- Ensure traceability and compliance across all phases of the development lifecycle, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate effectively with engineers across multiple organizations to foster a positive and productive team environment
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Hands‑on experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) at the system level is required
- Strong understanding of avionics, aircraft systems, and subsystems
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Previous experience taking ownership of assigned work, following through on commitments, and delivering quality results
- Knowledge across multiple avionics functional areas
- Prior experience with full development cycles, avionics certification, and a strong understanding of lifecycle activities and deliverables for avionics programs
- Experience working within regulatory environments, including DO‑254, DO‑160, DO‑178B/C, DO‑297, ARP
4754A, and FAA/TCCA/EASA standards - Proficiency in supporting testing activities, including operating rig facilities and troubleshooting during testing phases
- Ability to execute flight test scenarios by leveraging an understanding of aircraft operational fundamentals to validate system performance
- Experience with one or more of the following tools/languages:
Python, MATLAB/Simulink, Cameo, or similar engineering tools - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical ideas, assumptions, and issues

Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD. Compensation may vary based on experience, education, and skills.
