Technical Project Manager - Secure Systems

Job Overview

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking an established Technical Project Manager for its Secure Systems Engineering team. The role leads a cross‑functional integrated product team responsible for developing next‑generation cryptographic systems, maturing the product from low TRL through program of record accreditation and factory production.

• Work closely with a dedicated team to manage cryptographic product development efforts and provide security‑enabled solutions to channel‑facing partners.
• Interact and interface with external customers.
• Participate in the systems development lifecycle, including trade study execution, system design, requirements definition, requirements allocation, traceability, system integration, verification testing, and qualification.
• Manage program schedule and cost performance (SPI/CPI) for a medium‑sized program and help generate the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to execute program milestones.
• Facilitate customer demonstration events and program reviews both onsite and offsite.
• Lead bid and proposal efforts.
• Present technical and program data to customers and executive leadership.

• Experience with the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, and verification/validation, and transition to production.
• Experience operating as a Product Owner in an Agile environment.
• Active and transferable SECRET clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.

• Exceptionally strong communication skills, experience presenting technical data to program management and executive leadership.
• Experience with cryptographic hardware architecture/design, network encryption specifications, and test methodologies.
• Experience with the NSA certification process.
