Manufacturing Electrical Engineer – Manufacturing Support Team

Location:

Cedar Rapids, IA. Second shift (2PM–10PM, flexible). Join the Manufacturing support team at the Collins Aerospace Cedar Rapids facility for Displays and Flight Systems IPT.

• Perform root cause analysis and take corrective action to resolve test failures.
• Monitor equipment uptime, troubleshoot, and minimize downtime to ensure reliable operation.
• Provide in‑depth technical assistance and training to floor test technicians.
• Apply standard engineering and manufacturing principles and processes extensively.
• Develop solutions to difficult technical problems of broad scope with little guidance from project managers.
• Implement and maintain test methods and processes in the manufacture and test of sub‑assembly, module, and top‑level product for new or difficult product lines.
• Develop complete knowledge of test systems and hardware.
• Provide technical interpretation of drawings and specifications for complex products.

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of relevant experience, obtained through coursework, research or projects.
• Manufacturing, troubleshooting or test experience required.

• Experience with Root Cause Analysis.
• Experience with Lean Sigma principles.
• Experience with SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
