Position: Manufacturing Program Specialist (Onsite)

Position Summary

Principal Manufacturing Program Specialist – New Product Introduction, cedar rapids, ia. Onsite role focused on executing daily manufacturing activities, ensuring program schedule adherence, and delivering high‑quality, high‑engineering development hardware on time to engineering and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Site Operations Program Manager (OPM) by addressing broad issues across functions and working autonomously with limited oversight.
  • Lead operational program management for small‑scale projects and initiatives, coordinating across functions, executing to plan, and aligning with program objectives.
  • Assist the NPI team with rollout of policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Participate in manufacturing readiness assessments, producibility tenants, and cross‑functional program planning.
  • Execute builds for development programs, tracking schedule and financial performance, reporting on critical customer deliveries via line‑of‑balance and project plans.
  • Communicate material availability, resource planning, task completion, configuration management, change orders, and quality performance schedules.
  • Expedite part movement through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
  • Monitor progress and track project performance with metrics.
  • Collaborate with Production Control Support, Procurement Support, and Master Scheduling to maintain accurate material master data and minimize inventory balances.
  • Coordinate operating efficiency with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and inventory control teams.
  • Review drawings with Program and Engineering for production readiness.
  • Apply RTX CORE and lean principles to recommend solutions that mitigate delays, challenges, or cost changes.
Required Qualifications
  • University degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with SAP or comparable MRP systems in manufacturing environments, focusing on material availability and work‑in‑progress prioritization.
  • Direct or cross‑functional leadership of teams/projects that achieve positive organizational results.
  • Manufacturing and operations experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of production operations with New Product Introduction (NPI)–related projects.
  • Project management experience with a focus on lifecycle management.

Salary range: $86,800–$165,200

USD (based on experience).
