Electrical Assembly Technician
Wage: $45,000-$75,000/year DOE
Shift: 1st

7:00am-3:30pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring an Electrical Assembly Technician for a company in Cedar Rapids, IA.
This is a hands-on electrical role working with renewable energy components, including assembly, testing, and troubleshooting. Great opportunity for someone with electrical and manufacturing experience!

Responsibilities- Assemble electrical wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical components using hand tools
- Build and work with components used in high-voltage and high-current AC/DC systems
- Read and follow electrical schematics, diagrams, work instructions, and engineering specifications
- Inspect electrical installations for accuracy, quality, and proper functionality
- Install gearboxes, generators, inverters, rectifiers, and other components onto test stands
- Operate test stands to evaluate electrical and mechanical systems
- Use electrical testing equipment such as volt-ohm meters, megohm meters, micro-ohm meters, current clamps, and hi-pot testers
- Record test results and generate pass/fail reports
- Follow all electrical safety, PPE, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or electrical education preferred
- 3+ years of manufacturing or production experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Familiarity with AC/DC power systems and electrical testing equipment
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, jib cranes, and overhead cranes
- Knowledge of LOTO procedures and electrical safety practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality
