Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Blanks Control Agent!

Position Summary:

The Blanks Control Agent is responsible for purchasing, receiving, and organizing any undecorated apparel items—referred to as "blanks"—used for customer orders. This position ensures the correct shirts, apparel, and specialty items are ordered on time, received accurately, and prepared for the production team. By closely monitoring upcoming jobs and inventory, the Blanks Control Agent helps prevent production delays caused by missing or incorrect materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchase blank garments and novelty items accurately and within required time frames
• Coordinate purchases with the production schedule to prevent material delays
• Monitor vendor lead times and address potential delays before they affect production
• Receive incoming products and verify item numbers, quantities, and quality
• Organize and stage materials for upcoming production jobs
• Ensure all required blanks are available before production begins
• Maintain organized, safe, and easily accessible short-term inventory
• Identify incorrect, damaged, or missing products and communicate concerns promptly
• Work closely with vendors, production teams, designers, supervisors, and warehouse employees
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous purchasing, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or production experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
• Able to anticipate needs and address problems proactively
• Comfortable communicating with vendors and internal production teams
• Basic computer or scanner skills
• Able to remain calm and solution-focused when orders are delayed or incorrect
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• Start and end times may vary depending on production needs. Candidates must be flexible and available to adjust their schedules when required.

Pay:

• $18–20/hour
