ScheduleMonday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Compensation$27.04 to $43.68 per hour, depending on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assess the severity of symptoms and prioritize urgency of needs based on thorough clinical information obtained from the patient, parent, or authorized representative during the encounter. Information should be thorough and complete to guide an appropriate plan of action and to provide the fundamentals for a comprehensive provider evaluation.
- Provide evidence‑based advice and recommendations to patients of all ages and diagnoses in accordance with clinical providers, algorithms, protocols, and independent nursing judgment.
- Guide and assist patients to the appropriate level of care as needed, including emergency services.
- Notify provider and/or clinic staff in a timely manner regarding unusual or unexpected events/problems requiring provider consultation or intervention.
- Assist with coordination of services, procedures, referrals, prior authorizations, inpatient consults, or admissions as needed.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.

- An associate’s degree or a certificate from a qualified RN program.
- Current license to practice in the state of Iowa.
- Current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification (BLS).
- Preferred: prior experience as a triage nurse.
- Preferred: experience with EMR.
