RN Nurse, Occupational Health Nurse
Occupational Health Registered Nurse (RN)
Needed for a full‑time temporary contract opportunity which will likely transition to a temp‑to‑hire, part‑time 24 hours per week, with Yoh’s well‑established client located in Cedar Rapids, IA.
This clinic offers occupational and preventative care for employees onsite. Duties will consist of first‑aid, basic walk‑in care (minor acute care like colds, rashes, pink eye, etc.), assisting with surveillance exams, responding to medical emergencies, and a lot of computer work.
ShiftsAnticipated temporary schedule:
Monday–Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. If chosen for the long‑term opening, schedule will cut down to 24 hours per week, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
- Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred experience in:
Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, School Nursing, Corrections, or Family Medicine type setting - Recent clinical experience and computer literate
- Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
- Provide wellness materials and information
- Medical surveillance exams (e.g., hearing conservation)
- Provide medical testing such as EKGs, pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, vision and hearing screening and perform limited interpretation of tests
- Refer to higher level of care
- Respond to emergencies and provide emergency medical care for employees onsite
- Ability to start ASAP and work Monday–Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Previous experience using EPIC a plus!
- BLS certified (hands‑on courses only – strictly online not accepted)
- Yearly TB test or QuantiFERON‑Gold
- Must have proof of U.S. citizenship (e.g., valid U.S. Passport or original U.S. Birth Certificate) for security clearance/badging
