RN Nurse, Occupational Health Nurse
Occupational Health Registered Nurse (RN)
Full‑time temporary contract position that may transition to a temp‑to‑hire, part‑time (24 hours per week) role with Yoh’s established client in Cedar Rapids, IA.
This clinic offers occupational and preventative care for employees onsite. Duties include first‑aid, basic walk‑in care (minor acute conditions such as colds, rashes, pink eye, etc.), assisting with surveillance exams, responding to medical emergencies, and extensive computer work.
ShiftsTemporary:
Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (if selected for the long‑term opening, hours reduced to 24 hours per week, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred experience in Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, School Nursing, Corrections or Family Medicine settings
- Recent clinical experience and computer literacy
- Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
- Provide wellness materials and information
- Medical surveillance exams (e.g., hearing conservation)
- Provide medical testing such as EKGs, pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, vision and hearing screening and perform limited interpretation of results
- Refer to higher level of care
- Respond to emergencies and provide onsite emergency medical care for employees
- Ability to start ASAP and work Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Previous experience using EPIC a plus
- BLS certification (hands‑on courses only – strictly online not accepted)
- Yearly TB test or QuantiFERON‑Gold
- Proof of U.S. citizenship (valid U.S. passport or original U.S. birth certificate) for security clearance/badging
