The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient centered 80 % (32 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our UICC Cedar Rapids Specialty Adult Endocrinology Clinic. This position will mainly support our Endo Clinic but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to:
Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics. For over 100 years, Iowa Healthcare's primary focus has been the health and wellness of our patients. Our Endocrinology Clinic provides expert care for diabetes and other conditions that affect your body's glands, hormones, and metabolism. We provide personalized diabetes treatment plans and follow-up care. Our team builds relationships with patients, monitors their care history, and delivers personalized, compassionate care to every patient.

When a patient needs specialty care, our provider connects them with the appropriate UI Health Care specialist, ensuring a seamless experience by sharing your medical records. Duties to include:

  • Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
  • Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
  • In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel.
  • In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.

Current valid driver's license and the ability to meet the University Driving Policy Standards.

Schedule:

Variable hours Monday
- Friday between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. No on call time, weekends, or holidays required.

Location:

Cedar Rapids, IA. (or surround clinics based on clinical need or hours) Pay Grade: 11 Merit Plan Plan Salary: $36,364.61 (at 80% time) - $54,171.07 $ 21.77 - $32.43 (based on years of experience)
