Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2070 per week

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program:
TrioWFS Program - UnityPoint Health.

Required Skills/

Experience:

- Work history/resume/employment history must have 24 months of current MS/Medical Surgical/Med Surg experience.

- 24 months of MS/Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required.

- Post-op surgical experience in orthopedic, spine surgery, and medical-surgical required.

- First-time travelers welcome; must have at least 12 months of Med Surg experience.

- Heparin experience required.

Special Requests:

- Any past employee of UPH, whether FTE or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another market no matter which facility they currently work at, or have worked at within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply.

Unit Details:

- Orthopedic, spine surgery, and medical-surgical patient population.

- Heparin drips.

Shift & Scheduling:

- Holiday rotation.

- Every other weekend.

- No call.

Floating Requirements:

- Float across like units when needed/scheduled.

- Traveler will be required to float across all campuses:
Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
