Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Cedar Rapids, IA

Contract | Evening/Mid Shift | Onsite

• Circulate independently across a wide variety of operating room cases including general surgery, orthopedic total joints, and spine procedures
• Operate and assist with robotic surgical systems including DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa platforms
• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in a high-volume regional OR setting with a 14-bed unit
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic medical records system
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes throughout all phases of the surgical experience
• Fulfill on-call and holiday coverage requirements as designated by unit scheduling needs

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• Minimum of 24 months of current Operating Room nursing experience
• Proficient experience in DaVinci robotics, orthopedic surgery (total joints and spine), and general surgery
• Demonstrated ability to circulate independently across multiple case types
• Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC
• Current ACLS certification through AHA or ARC

• Proficient experience with Mako and/or Rosa robotic systems (highly preferred; utilized in approximately 80% of total joint cases)
• Scrub experience in the OR setting
• Travel nursing experience within the previous 15 months
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, or director within the past 24 months
