Travel RN - Cath Lab​/EP

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN in Cedar Rapids, IA for a day-shift assignment requiring 24 months of cardiac/cath/vascular experience and TEE/cardioversion skills.

• Active RN license (IA or Compact)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 24 months of experience in Cardiac/Cardiology, Cath, or Vascular setting
• Pre/post op experience required
• TEE experience required
• Cardioversion experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Diagnostic procedures experience
• Stress testing experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of experience
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Skills checklist specific to pre/post op, cath, or cardiac discipline required
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred

• Cath Lab unit within the EKG department
• 2 procedure bays and 3 pre/post bays with a 1:3 patient ratio
• Non-invasive cardiology procedures including TEE, cardioversions, stress testing, and pre/post procedural care
• Day shift, 5x8 hour shifts starting around 7-7:30am and ending around 4:30-5pm
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• May float to Cardiac & Vascular Holding
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide nursing care for non-invasive cardiology procedures including TEE, cardioversions, and stress testing
• Support pre/post op and procedural patient care within the Cath Lab
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Holiday coverage required for 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) within the last 12 months are ineligible for travel assignments at other UPH markets
