Construction Quality Manager

Pay Range: $55 - 67/hr depending on experience

Contract:

1 year with possible extension and/or conversion
Construction itself is several years long. Worker will need to be onsite 5 (maybe
6) days per week for several years.
Two projects- one in Cedar Rapids, IA & one in Burlington, IA. Must be willing to be available onsite for duration of the project.
Daily per diem offered

Job Description:

• Field-based position responsible for mechanical/civil inspection and oversight services to support the implementation and execution of the project site quality program.
• Collaborate with contractors to resolve discrepancies and ambiguities and ensures all construction activities are performed in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications, to include contract requirements. Control and the distribution of all the company’s quality documentation. Monitor all quality related activities on the project.
• Perform daily inspections of the work being performed onsite.
• Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the company’s management.
• Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals. Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements.
• Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports.
• Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements, when required.
• Review all turnover documentation upon the completion of the project.
• Participate in all quality related activities with the designated representatives.

Qualifications:

• Must have relevant, large-scale construction experience.
• Must have experience leading a construction project as a Construction Manager.
