Job Summary
Are you ready to take your skills to the next level and make a real impact? IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences. This role is based in Cedar Rapids, IA (On-site).
Where You’ll Make a Difference- Perform analytical testing on in-process samples and finished products to support product release.
- Prepare reagents and solutions required for laboratory testing.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Accurately record, analyze, and communicate test results.
- Apply aseptic techniques and investigate potential contamination sources.
- Support internal and external stakeholders with quality-related inquiries.
- Participate in laboratory investigations, problem-solving, and troubleshooting activities.
- Follow and maintain compliance with standard operating procedures, safety, and hygiene requirements.
- Ensure adherence to quality and regulatory standards, including ISO, HACCP, GMP, Kosher, and Halal.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing laboratory environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership in daily tasks.
- Experience working in QA/QC within a biotechnology or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as GMP, HACCP, or ISO.
- Experience with microbiological testing and contamination investigations.
