Job Title:
Lab Technician - Job Description
- Prepare samples and perform analytical testing to ensure product quality.
- Execute daily process monitoring tests and document results accurately in computerized systems and LIMS.
- Communicate test results to operations and recommend adjustments to maintain production quality standards.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance.
- Collect, record, and retain samples and testing data to support validation and compliance requirements.
- Manage lab inventory, maintain a clean workspace, and support overall lab organization and efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, EPA, OSHA, and company standards.
- Proficiency in quality control and assurance processes.
- Strong understanding of chemistry, including wet chemistry and titration.
- Experience with laboratory operations and analytical chemistry.
- Knowledge of GMP standards and laboratory best practices.
- Ability to use computerized systems and LIMS effectively.
Skills & Qualifications
- A 2-year degree in life sciences or 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Background in biology is beneficial.
Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3 pm. The lab environment requires adherence to safety protocols and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. A clean and organized workspace is essential for efficient operations.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
