Position SummaryDo you have a knack for helping people, following recipes and organization? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members by following recipes, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure the freshest items are available to take home to their families. You will juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders.
It’s hard work, but the bakery team finds it rewarding, especially as part of a large team with the common goal: happy, satisfied members.
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicate with the team members and be flexible to business needs.
- Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; follow recipes, wrapping, labeling, storing merchandise; maintain compliance with food safety standards and inventory management; maintain and sanitize equipment; demonstrate product and layout execution.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for production decisions.
- Be an Owner: Ensure operational excellence, maintain a clean work area, enforce quality and date‑control standards, secure merchandise, eliminate waste, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure proper packaging and labeling.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club; model high quality service and products; execute basics at the highest quality level; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics; use the Open Door Policy; apply in all business processes.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
