About the RoleWe’re seeking an Electrical Sales Engineer to join our outside sales team. This role is ideal for an electrical engineer who enjoys building relationships, solving technical challenges, and helping customers identify the right solutions.
You’ll combine your engineering knowledge with consultative selling to support contractors, consulting engineers, facility managers, and owners throughout the project lifecycle. As a trusted advisor, you’ll help customers solve complex challenges while
building lasting partnerships and expanding DPT’s market presence throughout your territory.
- Achieve territory sales and gross profit objectives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities while strengthening existing
customer relationships. - Build long-term partnerships with contractors, consulting engineers, facility
managers, owners, and end users. - Negotiate contracts and manage customer expectations throughout the sales
process.
- Provide technical consultation and application support for electrical and control
system solutions. - Interpret project specifications and electrical drawings to recommend the most
appropriate products and systems. - Present technical solutions and value propositions that address customer needs
and project requirements. - Conduct site visits and facility assessments to develop practical, value-driven
recommendations.
- Partner with consulting engineers, manufacturers, contractors, and internal
teams to develop engineered solutions. - Serve as a trusted technical resource throughout the project lifecycle—from initial
opportunity through project completion. - Support the successful execution of turnkey projects by coordinating with internal
and external stakeholders.
- Base Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 annually
- Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, and qualifications /li>
