CRST's Capacity Solutions business connects customers with reliable transportation solutions through a nationwide network of carrier partners and transportation professionals. Our team helps customers move freight efficiently while delivering the flexibility, responsiveness, and service customers need to keep their businesses moving.

CRST is seeking a Freight Brokerage Account Executive to grow and manage customer relationships within our Capacity Solutions business. This role combines account management, business development, and transportation sales, giving you the opportunity to build long-term partnerships while helping customers solve complex freight and logistics challenges.

You'll manage an existing portfolio of accounts while identifying opportunities to grow business, develop new customer relationships, and expand transportation solutions. Onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA

Schedule:

Monday-Friday (7:00 AM-4:00 PM)

Compensation:

Account Management

  • Grow and manage a portfolio of customer accounts
  • Build strong customer relationships that drive retention and long-term growth
  • Serve as a trusted resource for customer transportation and logistics needs

Business Development

  • Prospect and engage potential customers through phone, referrals, networking, digital outreach, and other business development activities
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing business and secure new transportation opportunities
  • Develop strategies to increase customer engagement and account growth

Sales & Negotiation

  • Learn and assess customer needs to recommend transportation solutions
  • Negotiate and close sales opportunities that create value for both customers and CRST
  • Achieve individual sales and growth objectives

Customer Success

  • Partner with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Support efficient billing and payment processes
  • Resolve customer concerns while maintaining positive business relationships

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities

Customer-facing, sales, account management, or business development experience

Ability to collaborate effectively across teams to support customer needs

Transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage experience

Business-to-business sales experience

Experience managing a portfolio of customer accounts

Experience prospecting and developing new business opportunities

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Sales, or a related field

CRM experience
