Bright Star Care of Cedar Rapids / Iowa City is hiring a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Manager to grow our referral network and expand our presence across Eastern Iowa. The Business Development Manager position isa field-based, outside sales role with a defined territory covering Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Marion, Hiawatha, Coralville, North Liberty, and surrounding Linn and Johnson County communities.

• Competitive base salary of $65,000–$75,000 DOE

As Bright Star Care's Business Development Manager, you will own the growth strategy for the Cedar Rapids / Iowa City market:

• Build and grow a referral network with hospitals, discharge planners, hospital social workers, case managers, physicians, orthopedic and surgical groups, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), assisted living communities, memory care facilities, hospice organizations, and senior services organizations

• Conduct regular, scheduled face-to-face visits with referral sources to build lasting, trust-based relationships

• Present Bright Star Care's private duty home care and skilled nursing services to healthcare professionals and community partners

• Plan and host Lunch & Learns, community education events, and health fairs to increase brand visibility

• Prospect and generate new business through cold outreach, warm networking, community events, phone, email, and Linked In

• Represent Bright Star Care at local senior care coalitions, chamber of commerce events, and networking groups

• Maintain and grow relationships with existing referral partners - identify new opportunities within established accounts

• Collaborate with the Branch Manager, Staffing Coordinator, and clinical team to ensure a seamless client intake experience

• Track all activity, referral sources, and pipeline in CRM software

• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly census growth, referral volume, and revenue goals

• 2+ years of outside sales, business development, or referral marketing experience

• Proven track record of building referral relationships and hitting growth targets

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

• Self-motivated and results-driven - comfortable managing your own schedule and territory

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software

• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance

• Experience in home care, home health, hospice, senior living, medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sales

• Existing relationships in the Cedar Rapids / Iowa City healthcare community

• Familiarity with the senior care continuum and discharge planning process

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
