As a Security Officer – Overnights – Full Time in Cedar Rapids, IA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor check‑in, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security‑related incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with employees and contractors, and document activity with attention to detail.

• Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, access control procedures, and site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control entry and exit at vehicle and/or pedestrian access points by verifying identification, authorizations, and delivery paperwork, issuing badges, and directing traffic flow in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor alarms, gates, doors, and camera views as assigned, and document access activity, unusual conditions, and security‑related concerns using required logs and reporting tools.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including handling access disputes, reporting hazards or maintenance issues, and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including perimeter checks and key access points, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
