Overview

Great America Financial Services is a highly successful entrepreneurial company providing equipment financing to businesses across the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain access control, surveillance, and related physical security systems across all Great America facilities.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of privileged access, ensuring appropriate approval of authorized access and applying the principle of least privilege.
  • Provide provisioning, modification, and de‑provisioning of physical access for team members, contractors, and sponsored IDs.
  • Conduct assessments and gap analysis of surveillance and access control systems against best practices and standards, and implement security improvements aligned with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Coordinate with security integrators and IT teams on new system installations, upgrades, proactive and remedial maintenance, and component replacements.
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions for automation and self‑service within physical security capabilities to reduce manual effort through secure solutions.
  • Monitor and respond to security events and incidents, including analytics of logs and alerts from surveillance and alarm monitoring systems.
  • Respond to physical security incidents both during and outside business hours and conduct confidential physical security investigations requested by Human Resources and Legal, preserving evidence and coordinating with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
  • Document system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Support the development of physical security policies and standards.
  • Assist security desk staff to ensure guards have the knowledge and resources needed to effectively welcome guests and safeguard corporate assets.
  • Manage parking for Great America buildings, lead the Safety Team, conduct fire and severe‑weather drills and safety exercises, and maintain safety equipment such as first aid kits, AEDs and personal protective equipment.
  • Support and backup Facilities Team as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience serving customers and independent problem solving.
  • Experience administering access control and surveillance systems, or related physical security technologies.
  • Experience supporting investigations, incident response, or emergency management activities.
  • Experience operating in a regulated environment (financial services, banking, healthcare, or similar).
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in time‑sensitive situations.
  • Working knowledge of physical access control systems, video surveillance platforms, alarm monitoring and event logging.
  • Understanding of role‑based access, least‑privilege principles, and access governance.
  • Ability to assess physical security controls and identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to document procedures, investigations and system configurations accurately and thoroughly.
  • Familiarity with safety, emergency preparedness and workplace security best practices.
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills, including reviewing logs, video footage and access records.
  • Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive or confidential matters.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Ability quickly to learn and use security, facilities, and incident management systems.
