Job Summary:
We are seeking a Road Mechanic / Equipment Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and advanced repairs on diesel engines, heavy construction, and specialty equipment at customer locations. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role for a skilled mechanic looking to grow into service or operations management.
- Perform preventive maintenance and on‑site repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and specialty equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, oil & gas).
- Troubleshot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with diverse equipment.
- Ensure safety compliance and operational readiness of customer equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance using fleet management software.
- Collaborate with team members in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience as a mechanic with diesel engines, heavy construction, or specialty equipment.
- Valid driver's license; CDL may be required in some locations (21+ years old).
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs+, bend, crouch, and work indoors/outdoors.
- Experience with aerial lifts, large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil/gas equipment.
- ASE or IFPS Certification.
- Bilingual (Spanish or other), depending on location.
- Military experience with transferable mechanical skills.
