Where is the work:
Field-based – work is conducted on-site at customer locations. This position is for the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area.

What the role involves:
This is the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base including Healthcare, Process Manufacturing Facilities, Education Institutions, and Office Complexes. Tasks include commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. The position also involves working with internal and external partners on new facility set‑ups and existing facility retro‑fits, providing technical support, training on newest technology, and career progression opportunities.

• Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customer to understand requirements for all on‑site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on‑site work.
• Represent the company by serving as the direct customer contact, responsible for products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at customer’s location.
• Use cutting‑edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand‑tools, to diagnose and repair units following blueprints or engineering specifications.
• Maintain flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as the business requires.
• Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company‑issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; typically 5+ years of experience in HVAC.
• Technical school or formal training preferred.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with a hand‑held computer (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations in the previous 3 years (e.g., DUI, hit & run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving).
• EPA Certification.

Annual Base Salary Range: $21.89 – $40.34 (Hourly). Compensation type:
