We are seeking Millwright Apprentices, Skilled Millwrights, and Maintenance Technicians to join a growing team supporting a heavy industrial processing facility in Cedar Rapids, IA. This position involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and other processing equipment. Candidates will work in a fast-paced industrial environment alongside experienced trades professionals while gaining valuable hands-on experience and opportunities for advancement.

• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot industrial equipment, machinery, and mechanical systems.
• Work on conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, and related processing equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate layout, assembly, and alignment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, hoists, and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools to complete repairs and installations.
• Perform MIG/TIG welding, cutting, grinding, and light fabrication as needed.
• Assist with piping, plumbing, and industrial construction projects.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all plant safety procedures and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate work and complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Work at heights, climb ladders, and access confined or difficult-to-reach areas when required.

• Mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial equipment.
• Experience in millwright, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, construction, or related trades.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physically demanding work.
• Comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

This position is located inside a large corn processing facility in Cedar Rapids. The environment is industrial, physically demanding, and may involve exposure to dust, chemicals, machinery, and varying temperatures. Employees work in crews of 5–10 trades professionals while supporting a larger site workforce of approximately 120 personnel.

Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Monday – Friday

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
