Job Summary
Scaffold Insulation Technician (Mid Skilled) – Cedar Rapids, IA. Salary up to $20.00 per hour (based upon experience).
Hours:
Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–4:30pm. Weekly pay on Fridays.

- Installation, Maintenance, and Repair to be performed in conformance with established quality standards.
- Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards/work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
- Must have working knowledge of all hand/power tools to perform metal layouts of all types, use math facts and charts, and be able to apply knowledge to perform all insulation functions.
- Works from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc., utilizing fall protection equipment as necessary to complete tasks.
- Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job. Must maintain a consistent and good attendance record in accordance with Company policy.
- Employee will perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor.
- Compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
- Communicates with all team members to assist the development of short‑ and long‑range planning in assist of the company's goals and objectives.
- Maintain personal tools required for your job. Meet physical requirements of the job.
- Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
- Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
- Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.
- Experience:
2 years associated procedural experience. - Certifications:
OSHA approved Scaffold building certification. Preferred but not required.
- The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Control Precision – The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
- Manual Dexterity – The ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
- Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
- Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
- Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
- Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
- Communication/Expression – The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Information Ordering – The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
