MP Nex Level is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead fiber and structured cabling crews supporting large-scale data center and telecommunications construction projects. This individual will oversee daily field operations, ensure quality and safety standards are met, coordinate with project leadership, and help drive project completion on schedule.
Travelers work on a 3 week on, 1 week off schedule. Lodging is provided and per diem is $65/day.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise fiber, low voltage, and structured cabling technicians on active project sites.
- Coordinate daily job assignments and ensure crews remain productive and on schedule.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, splice diagrams, and project plans.
- Oversee fiber optic installations, structured cabling, and pathway construction.
- Ensure all work is completed according to customer specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate material management, inventory, and jobsite logistics.
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce site safety policies.
- Serve as the primary field contact between crews, project managers, customers, and other trades.
- Track project progress and provide daily updates to leadership.
- Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and resolving field challenges.
- 3+ years of experience leading telecommunications, fiber, or structured cabling crews.
- Experience in data center, commercial construction, or telecommunications environments.
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic installation and structured cabling practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
- Experience managing multiple technicians in the field.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Fiber splicing experience.
- Experience with OSP and ISP fiber projects.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades.
- Previous experience supporting hyperscale data center projects.
