Designated Service Coordinator - Early ACCESS

Grant Wood AEA has a full‑time, year‑round position in Early ACCESS to start August 17, 2026. Starting wage range: $20.55–$21.60 per hour. Benefits include free health, dental, and vision coverage; generous leave including vacation; and IPERS retirement system.

Job Summary

Works in partnership with families by assisting them in accessing community resources, services and assistance to support the developmental needs of children ages 0‑3 and their families. Supports licensed service providers to assure efficient and comprehensive Early ACCESS services. Makes home visits with client families to help assess concerns and service needs. Provides information and resources to families involved in Early ACCESS and coordinates services.

Documents services and ensures timely data reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Plans and arranges early intervention services for assigned families and collaborates with all service partners to meet family needs.
  • Serves as the single point of contact for the child and family eligible for Early ACCESS in helping parents access early intervention services and other services identified in the IFSP (Individual Family Service Plan).
  • Helps to identify client family needs and concerns.
  • Assists client families in identifying family resources, informal networks and available service providers.
  • Supports and participates in the development, review, evaluation and updating of the IFSP.
  • Assures completion of all IFSP paperwork in a timely manner, adhering to time frames and deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in early childhood, social services or a related field, or equivalent combination of coursework and experience.
  • Two (2) years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Google platform (Drive, Docs, etc.) and/or other related technology applications.
