Senior Software Engineering Manager; Onsite

What You Will Do

• Lead a team of 10–15 software engineers through design, development, and documentation of large complex systems.
• Attract, engage, and retain software engineering talent for critical, mission‑critical applications.
• Make hiring decisions, conduct performance assessments, and manage personnel for technical staff.
• Coordinate cross‑engineering integrations for large complex systems, applying automation and simulation tools.
• Plan project‑level work to meet schedule, cost, and performance goals.
• Manage program technical risks by evaluating requirements and design aspects.
• Facilitate interaction among engineers, program managers, business developers, finance, quality, and production teams.
• Act as liaison between functional discipline groups and internal‑external customers.

• Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of software engineers.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of management and stakeholders.
• Experience guiding engineers through software development of applications.
• Project management, control account management, and earned‑value experience.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance required before start.
• Typical education: STEM degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with at least 7 years of experience.

• Knowledge of bidding and project/task estimation tools (e.g., SEER‑SEM).
• Experience with peer review, configuration, and change management processes.
• Involvement in root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience with flight deck, flight‑management system, or avionics software.
• Experience with model‑based systems engineering and modeling practices.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
