Software Engineer II – Collins Aerospace

Location:

Cedar Rapids, IA

On site – U.S. Citizen with active and transferable U.S. government‑issued top secret security clearance required prior to start date.

• Design and develop cutting‑edge embedded software, networking, and communication products.
• Lead small efforts in complex, multi‑threaded embedded software in C++ and Rust.
• Leverage containerization to streamline software development.
• Support requirements, implementation, test development, and certification to drive project success.
• Lead initiatives on the team.

• Degree in a STEM field and at least 2 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree).
• 1 year of experience with embedded software development.
• 1 year of experience in C++ or
  
  C.
• Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with Rust (preferred).
• Experience with Linux development environments.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Experience with multithreading.
• Knowledge of networking and communications protocols.
