Job Description Software Verification Engineer (DO-178) -- Onsite | Cedar Rapids, IA Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Software Verification Engineers to join our team onsite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
. This is an immediate opportunity supporting the verification and validation of safety-critical embedded display software used in aerospace applications.

This is a highly collaborative role where you'll partner with software engineers, systems engineers, and verification teams to develop, execute, and document software verification activities in accordance with DO-178 standards.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in daily team stand-up meetings to coordinate priorities and project progress.
- Develop software verification artifacts, including test cases and test procedures.
- Collaborate with requirements owners, test environment specialists, and peer reviewers to create and approve verification documentation.
- Execute software tests on embedded hardware platforms.
- Debug and analyze test failures to identify root causes.
- Work closely with both onsite engineers and global engineering teams, including remote collaborators.
- Ensure verification activities comply with aerospace software certification standards.
Note: The team is currently working Saturdays to meet project schedules.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of software verification experience.
- Experience with DO-178C ,
DO-178B , or DO-178A requirements-based verification. - Experience with low-level software integration and verification, including unit testing.
- Embedded C++ development or verification experience.
- Experience developing requirements for DO-178C DAL A or DAL B programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered for candidates with the required technical background.
The ideal candidate has experience verifying safety-critical embedded software, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and is comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced aerospace development environment.
