Are you dependable, driven, and ready to work for an industry leader? Tegeler Wrecker & Crane is expanding our Cedar Rapids team and looking for a Light Duty Tow Truck Operator who takes pride in doing the job right — safely, professionally, and with a smile.
What You’ll Do- Respond to calls for roadside assistance, accident recovery, and vehicle tows
- Provide excellent customer service to the public, police, and partner agencies
- Operate modern light-duty tow trucks and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-kept equipment
- Represent the Tegeler name with professionalism and care
- Valid driver’s license (CDL not required, but a plus!)
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background check & drug screen
- Mechanically inclined (a plus) and able to handle physical work
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-focused

- Receiving communications from company dispatcher.
- Driving safely to the scene of a vehicle breakdown or accident.
- Interacting with the customer to find out the nature of the problem in a professional manner.
- Be willing to learn
- Be confident in yourself and your abilities
- Towing experience a plus but not required; we are willing to train!
