Experience short-haul delivery, be home every night, and be an integral part of exciting projects building roads, bridges, houses, commercial buildings, and everything in between. - Safely operate ready mix truck in compliance with DOT regulations to deliver concrete to customers, using the most efficient route as directed by the Dispatcher or Plant Manager.
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure DOT standards are met; record and report any issues that would inhibit work production or create safety concerns.
- Understand different mix designs and visually inspect the mix for proper materials and load size, checking for proper slump and making appropriate adjustments.
- Perform wash down at job sites per customer instructions; wash down, drum rinse and drum chipping upon return to plant.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and courteously to complete delivery and collect payment.
- Maintain vehicles, plant, and shop to promote a clean, organized, and safe workplace; perform regular maintenance on ready mix trucks and equipment.
- Complete all required paperwork using tablets or cell phones to ensure proper accounting and timekeeping (pre-trip inspections, time reporting, truck reports, trip tickets, etc.).
- Work as a team player and be willing to cross-train on dispatching, batching, mechanics, etc.
- Perform duties outside the normal scope of work as required. This job description is non-exhaustive.
- Consent to pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
- Class A or B CDL and current Medical DOT card.
- Personal protective equipment required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Dependability and reliability by arriving on scheduled shifts on time and prepared for work.
- A positive attitude to ensure productive relationships with co‑workers and management.
- Exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and outdoor work.
- Overnight travel is not standard but may be required.
- Ability to reach below/at/above shoulders.
- Pushing/Pulling/Twisting/Bending.

- Operate hand and foot controls.
