Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shuttle Driver to join our Service team. Shuttle services are provided to customers of the Cassill Motors Service Department. The Shuttle Driver will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of customers while delivering on Cassill Motors Core Values every time. They may also deliver parts, materials, and equipment to/from vendors, as well as fulfill other transportation needs.

This role requires excellent driving skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. This job is performed from the Cassill Motors dealership location.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective communications with internal and external customers
  • Greet customers with a friendly smile and helpful attitude
  • Safely and timely transport customers, using a company vehicle, to and from designated locations
  • Safely load, secure, and transport parts, scrap materials, and equipment to and from the service department
  • Safely navigate roads, especially when driving in inclement weather
  • Deliver vehicles to various destinations with distances of up to 250 miles (one way)
  • Use GPS to ensure timely service while minimizing fuel consumption and wear on the vehicle
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and maintain proper documentation, including invoices, delivery receipts, and vehicle logs
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition
  • Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly
  • Support the service department with ad hoc needs, including maintenance (i.e., shoveling snow, breaking up ice, distributing Ice Melt), to ensure the safety of customers and employees
  • Report to work on time and work full shift as scheduled, work additional or adjusted hours as needed and sometimes with short notice

    Perform other work as assigned
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, required
  • Prior experience with providing shuttle/delivery services and with software (e.g., Quickride)
  • Strong skills with organization, attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy
  • Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and communicate effectively with all team members and management
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Functional Agility Test, including strength (lifting and carrying), range of motion, gripping, and endurance
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stretch, push, pull, crouch, crawl, and reach, regularly
  • Ability to talk effectively, hear, listen, and understand, regularly
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, color vision (distinguish colors), peripheral vision, depth perception, 3-dimensional vision (judge distances and spatial relationships), and the ability to adjust focus
  • Lift, carry, and maneuver up to 30 lbs.
  • Capable of operating vehicles safely
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), as needed

The work environment will be primarily outdoors and in a vehicle, where outdoor temperatures range seasonally from hot to cold, and performing work is affected by weather conditions. Can experience loud noises, vibration, and exposure to automotive fluids and fumes.
