Position Description

Ryder is hiring Material Handlers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay $20.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay $30.00 per hour
• Additional Pay $2.00 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  2nd Shift;
  Sunday - Saturday; 4 days a week, come in 2 of the 3 days to get the additional overtime.
  
  Hours:
  
  4:45 pm - 3:15 am

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 year or more related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Must be punctual with good attendance
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• High degree of initiative
• High level of accuracy under pressure
• Lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Stand for long periods
• Work using health and safety methods
• Available to work flexible schedule on various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, loading and unloading trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour of production
• Perform other duties as assigned
