DC Logistics L3 is responsible for coordinating daily logistics execution within client data center and warehouse environments. This role serves as a senior operator, shift point of contact, and first level of escalation for logistics associates and specialists.
The Level 3 oversees assigned workflows including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, inventory control, rack deployment support, material staging, cycle counts, and service request execution. This role works closely with the DC Logistics Manager and operations leadership to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and in alignment with client service level expectations.
Active Construction Environment & Required PPEThis role operates within an active data center construction and deployment environment. Employees may work in or around construction zones, loading docks, staging areas, equipment pathways, partially completed data halls, and areas with ongoing trade activity. Work conditions may include exposure to moving equipment, construction materials, uneven surfaces, elevated noise levels, changing access routes, and other hazards commonly associated with active construction sites.
All employees are required to follow site safety rules, posted signage, access restrictions, and direction from site leadership, safety personnel, and authorized construction management representatives. Employees must remain aware of their surroundings at all times, use designated walkways and approved work areas, and immediately report unsafe conditions, near misses, damaged equipment, or potential hazards.
Required Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while operating in designated construction or deployment areas and may include, but is not limited to:
- Hard hat
- Steel-toed safety boots
- High-visibility vest or approved high-visibility clothing
- Safety eyewear / eye protection
- Work gloves
- Lead daily logistics activities for assigned shift, site, building, or operational area.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Level 1 and Level 2 team members during assigned operations.
- Coordinate and prioritize workloads across receiving, shipping, staging, deployment support, inventory control, and internal transport.
- Oversee the safe movement of materials, parts, racks, equipment, and inventory into, out of, and around client data centers.
- Assign tasks, monitor work progress, validate completion, and provide real-time operational guidance.
- Support and review inventory transactions, shipment documentation, ticket updates, cycle counts, and asset movement records.
- Maintain strict inventory control and ensure accurate and timely shipments, receipts, transfers, and reconciliations.
- Escalate blockers, material shortages, system issues, safety concerns, staffing gaps, or client-impacting risks to management.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, or annual cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Identify variances, categorize root causes, track open actions, and support corrective actions.
- Train, coach, and mentor logistics team members on processes, systems, safety standards, and client expectations.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of all logistics systems, tools, work instructions, and site procedures.
- Support vendor inventory orders, task planning, OFCI or construction-related material flows, and deployment readiness activities as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including data center operations, security, facilities, construction, procurement, and client representatives.
- Identify, document, and implement process improvements to increase safety, efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.
- Prepare shift updates, service status reports, issue logs, and performance observations for management.
- Promote a culture of accountability, urgency, collaboration, respectful communication, and operational excellence.
- Perform hands-on logistics tasks as needed to maintain service continuity.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, inventory control, data center operations, material handling, IT service delivery, or related field.
- 6+ months of experience in a lead, senior operator, trainer, coordinator, or supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping, receiving, and service execution.
- Experience supporting physical inventories, cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and inventory reporting.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience using inventory systems, ticketing systems, asset management tools, or warehouse management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to direct work, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
