Cedarburg Summer Playground Camp Coordinator

Position Overview

The Playground Camp Coordinators works under the direct supervision of the Recreation Coordinator. Playground Camp Coordinators are responsible for the management of Playground Camp Supervisors along with supervision of children ages 3-12 at one of our park sites during the summer during the Cedarburg Parks & Recreation playground camp program. The program runs for 9 weeks starting June 15th. The supervisor is scheduled to work Monday - Friday from approximately 7:45am - 5:00pm (shifts may vary depending on programming).

• Manage and supervise the Playground Camp Supervisors.
• Communicate with the parents of all participants within the Playground Camp Program.
• Provide direct supervision of kids ages 3 – 12.
• Plan daily activities for children in the Cedarburg Parks & Recreation Playground Camp Program.
• Work with the Recreation Coordinator and other Playground Camp Coordinator to come up with a weekly plan.
• Supervise children in a park setting as well as the outdoor pool and field trips when scheduled.
• Interact with parents in regards to their children.
• Correspond courteously and as a team with supervisors and other staff.
• Know and follow established Summer Playground Camp rules policies and guidelines.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Recreation Coordinator.
• Maintain a positive attitude while on duty to fellow co-workers and participants!

• Experience working with children.
• First Aid certified (We will certify you).
• CPR/AED certified (We will certify you).
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Degree or attending college in childhood education, teacher education, or related field, at least 18 years old - but college education preferred.
