Responsibilities
Keeps school building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean at all times
Performs periodic cleaning and maintenance duties as outlined in work schedules developed according to industry standards
Evaluates, and if necessary, adjusts cleaning schedules with staff and/or contracted services to meet the daily needs of the building
Conducts an ongoing program of general maintenance, upkeep, and repair; making such minor repairs as he/she is capable of, and reporting major repairs needed promptly to the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor
Ensures building security is maintained at all times, including locking doors and leaving on only required lights
Assists in groundskeeping work to include shoveling/salting sidewalks, grass cutting, and other outdoor landscape work
Performs tasks for the North and South Church buildings and grounds as needed
Availability to work in rotation for some holidays, weddings, funerals and other special events on evenings and weekends
Qualifications- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Dependable and conscientious with a strong work ethic
- Knowledge of materials, equipment and methods commonly used in general cleaning and maintenance work, ability to lift 80 pounds
- Ability to plan, schedule, and carry out cleaning and minor maintenance duties with a minimum of supervision
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
- Must be able to obtain certification with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee's Safe Environment program, including a federal and state background check.
Hourly. This is a first shift, full-time, hourly position. The position includes a full benefit package with health insurance, paid vacation and sick time, and a pension plan.
