16 & 17 yr. old: $15.00/Hr

Zur Ruhe and Immanuel Cemetery

Monday – Friday, 20 to 40 hours per week

Mid‑April through Early October

Under supervision of the Building Inspector and Cemetery Supervisor, this person performs lawn maintenance of City owned Zur Ruhe Cemetery.

• Prepare equipment for the day
• Assist in loading gas cans, mowers and other equipment onto trucks/trailers
• Secure all equipment
• Maintain and correctly use issued personal protective equipment
• Safely operate equipment with all necessary personal protective equipment
• Mow turf using various mowers
• Edge grass at curbs and walkways
• Blow leaves and clippings
• Pull weeds and string trim as needed around headstones
• Clean site and watch for trash, limbs, and rocks
• Physical Demands:
  Safely perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of various landscaping equipment and materials, including, but not limited to, backpack blowers, large containers of mulch/plant material, various sizes of lawnmowers, etc.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability and willingness to understand and follow oral or written instructions.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, and the public.

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent required.
• A working knowledge of ground-related equipment (riding mowers, push mowers, rototillers, blowers, edgers, string trimmers, etc.) and grounds maintenance experience is preferred.

• Valid Wisconsin Motor Vehicle Driver’s License at the time of appointment.
• Good driving record.
